Clerk's Corner
With the directive from Governor Polis to shut down all state DMV and Department of Revenue offices until April 18th, it left some room for local county offices to decide what to do. The Clerk’s office is recommending that residents do not come to the office in person unless absolutely necessary. You are able to go online to mydmv.colorado.gov to process your vehicle registration renewals and to renew your drivers licenses. We also have a drop box located in the parking lot of the courthouse that you can drop your renewal payments in or any recording documents with payment (size appropriate). You can also drop your tax payments for the Treasurer’s office in there. We are able to take payment by credit/debit card in our office so you can call and complete your transaction that way as well, or drop it in the mail. You can follow any updates on our website at colorado.gov/sedgwickcounty. It may be just a matter of time before we are also mandated to shut down so please be proactive and refrain from coming to the office in person. If you absolutely have to come to the office, there are protocols in place that you must follow. If you have any questions at all call 970-474-3346.
Let’s all do our part!
Thank you!
Chris Beckman.
